In connection with having more renovations done - this time all the floors, trim and doors redone in the house we're going through everything and seeing what we can get rid of - throw out, recycle, sell - so that we have less stuff to try and find room for while the house is being worked on.
A big thing is my scrapbooking supplies. I've pretty well switched to digital but still occasionally do traditional and haven't been able to bring myself to weed out the supplies. I started out years ago with Creative Memories and at one point bought more albums than I needed at the time so that the colours would be uniform. So now I've got these unused albums (are they ever going to get used by me? Probably not. On top of that when it seemed like they were going out of business I made sure I had all the inserts for them that I would need. Hmmmmm. Not even sure if there's a market for them anymore around here.
This is just the inserts - those albums I'm keeping to put my digital scrapbooking in. The CM albums are stored in 3 different bookcases (no there aren't that many it was just where I could fit them in)
Wondering if I should take the inserts and put them in the albums and then give them away/sell them as a full album.
I haven't even looked at the rest of the scrapbooking supplies yet. Ugh!
Then there's my stamp collection - I haven't collected stamps in eons but still have my stuff - it's nothing to speak of but hate to throw it out. Surely there must be someone that might be interested.
John's been busy in the basement the past few days, decluttering it so that we have a place to put things.
Meanwhiile we are both going through books and National Geographics - some will be put in the recycle and some might be able to be sold/given to a used book dealer John found the other day. The rest we'll keep.
